DNSW Young Rider Scholarship Scheme
The term "Young Rider" actually includes riders until the end of the year in which they turn 21. Dressage NSW organises coaching clinics around Sydney and in country areas with the help of local dressage clubs. These clinics are open to all young riders and are held during the school holidays. They are conducted by NCAS instructors and generally include a guest speaker such as veterinarian, a senior rider or judge each day. The Young Rider Championships are usually held in the July school holidays. These championships are open to all young riders and tests up to FEI level are offered. The Young Rider Championships are our main fund raiser for the Young Rider scholarships. The Young Rider Scholarship Scheme provides the opportunity for young riders to attend a three day training clinic with Instructors selected by DNSW. Application for these scholarships close at the end of June each year. The scholarships are awarded basic on the following criteria:
